Marketing was always my focus. I enjoyed learning how people buy and what motivated them to do so for a specific product or service. Translating this knowledge into business opportunities through marketing was really interesting to me. So, I pursued a degree in Marketing from the University of South Florida with a minor in International Business. Through out my time at USF, I was fortunate to work with an all start Marketing team at Anheuser Busch's theme park Bush Garden in Tampa, Florida. It was an amazing experience to see first hand how the strategies and principles of marketing were put into practice every single day.
While at Busch Gardens, I gathered experience in Public Relations, Promotions, Client Management, Corporate Partnerships, and many other aspects of marketing that continue to influence my success today. The mentorship of some of the great executives will always stay with me. I am very grateful to have worked with them.
Once I received my degree from USF, it was time for me to seek other roles that would expand my experience. So I decided to take on a sales role to learn more about how to sell and why people buy. The next 5 to 7 years, were a stepping stone towards my career, and allowed me to learn on the job. Companies like Nestle Waters, Loomis Fargo and BMC (formerly Numara Software), taught me how the sales process works, and ways to gain the trust of the client.
After working in different industries, selling business to business or business to consumer products, I decided to dedicate my experience to Technology Sales.
My first opportunity was an inside sales role with Numara Software. There, I learned to position, build use cases, partner with other technologies and build a recurring business model for the IT Services industry. After a success 2 years as inside sales account management, I was promoted to a Technical Regional sales role where I could focus on identifying, and closing new business. I am thankful for this opportunity as it led me down the path of technology and consulting services.
